SANGRIA RECIPE

Originally this alcoholic and sweet drink was served among the Portuguese peasants, who called it with the name "sangria", for the color similar to blood. There are many variations, some even with white sparkling wine, but we would see the most famous and classic one. Summer is coming, be ready with an iced glass.

Ingredients: - Red wine (1l) - Soda (500 g) - Cognac (50 g) - Apples (230 g) - Oranges (600 g) - Peaches (400 g) - Lemons (350 g) - Sugar (120 g) - Vanilla bean (1) - Cinnamon sticks (2) - Cloves (6) - Ice (450 g)

Preparation: - Wash the apples and cut them (without removing the peel) into small cubes. - Wash the peaches and cut them (without removing the peel) into small cubes. - Squeeze the juice of one lemon and one orange, keeping it aside. - Wash the oranges and lemons, cut them into small cubes. - Add the sugar and mix well. - Cut the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape the seeds with the blade of a knife, then add everything to the bowl. - Place the cinnamon sticks and cloves in a tea infuser, making it easier to remove them. - Insert the infusion directly into the bowl or, alternatively, add the spices without using the infusion. - Pour in the cognac, mix and cover the bowl with plastic wrap. - Leave to rest in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight. - After the maceration time, remove the vanilla bean and spices, then add the soda and ice.
